| Our School Formed at the end of 2006, The Cooking House is a leisure cooking school that delivers culinary training in a fun and interactive learning environment. Classes are conducted in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere to provide a distinctive learning experience. Strategically located in the heart of Desa Sri Hartamas, The Cooking House is a convenient learning center for the local residents and expatriates of Mont Kiara, Desa Sri Hartamas, Bangsar, Damansara Heights, Taman Tun Dr. Ismail and Bandar Utama. Our Mission Focusing on hands-on learning, step-by-step demonstration and menu preparation, The Cooking House strives to build a rich appreciation for the culture, history and heritage of great cuisine. We inspire our students and expand their creativity in the kitchen by introducing some of the most exciting and innovative culinary ideas. Our friendly chefs and instructors teach techniques and methods, not just recipes. Students are able to come up close and personal to the chef and learn step-by-step how the scrumptious meals are prepared. Our chefs Every instructor at The Cooking House is carefully selected for his or her teaching ability, sound technical knowledge and culinary experience. Most of our chefs have 10-15 years of cooking experience - some in 5-star hotels, some are chefs in their own restaurants, whilst some are cookbook authors. The chefs will be teaching a variety of local and international cuisine such as Peranakan/Nonya, Chinese, Malay, Indian, Thai, Japanese, Korean, Italian, French, Hawker’s Delight, Pastry & Breads and many more. Our Classes Our classes / workshops are designed to make cooking accessible, easy and fun for novice as well as chefs, so students of any culinary ability and background are welcome. Our studios are equipped primarily with home cooking appliances, reinforcing our commitment to teaching the students something they can incorporate into their standard repertoire. Other Services Besides offering cooking and baking classes, The Cooking House also provides other complementary services such as corporate team- building, recipes development, product launches, private functions, themed parties as well as renting of venue for TV cook shows and product shooting for the publishing of cookbooks. |
